You might be asking yourself: when is the best time to dive into the used market and secure the best deals? The availability of quality used equipment often depends on factors like seasonal demand, trade-in trends, and special dealer promotions. In this blog, we’ll break down key times of the year to shop for used John Deere equipment so you can maximize your savings and keep your farm running efficiently.

After the last harvest of the season, some farmers take the opportunity to collect extra cash for the next by selling off their equipment. Around October and November is a great time to check your local used catalogs for used combines, tractors, and other harvesting equipment. Getting a head start on your search for harvest equipment will help you avoid the dreaded wait times and limited stock that many face in the spring.

Towards the end of the year is another time when you are likely to catch deals on used John Deere equipment in Virginia. Many dealers have special promotions during this time to help clear out leftover inventory. Farmers can also benefit from purchasing during this time due to tax implications. During the off-season, you should come across many end-of-the-year discounts, making it a prime time for farmers to find some excellent deals on equipment..

Spring can be a hectic time to look for new and used equipment due to the high demand, especially for lawn and landscaping equipment. However, purchasing in early spring has its advantages, as many dealers, including Virginia Maryland Tractor, offer excellent financing and rebate deals during this time. These incentives can be especially helpful for buyers looking at larger equipment. Be sure to check with your local dealer to see what exclusive offers they have available and take advantage of spring savings.
